Hemispherical vs Flat parachute

The first thing you need to know is the speed requirement. Your CanSat must fall at a speed between 8 and 11 meters per second. There is different kind of shape that you can use for your parchute : flat ones, hemispherical ones, square ones,... 

So which one’s better? Well it depends on your use. If like in our project, you want to film with a camera, you might need to go for an hemispherical one to increase the stability of the CanSat during the fall for a better image quality. However, this shape is really complex and you need to have a tool realy precise like a cnc cutting.
